Blue Angel
About This Spot
Step inside Blue Angel, and you’re met with the quiet charm of a genuine neighborhood diner tucked away on Old Country Road. It’s the kind of place where the hum of familiar conversation blends with the comforting clink of coffee cups — a corner that feels both welcoming and unpretentious, where time takes a gentler pace. Soft lighting and a cozy, modest space invite you to settle in, whether you’re starting your day or catching a restful midday meal.
The atmosphere here is warm without fuss, embodying a sense of understated homeyness that echoes the timeless appeal of classic American diners. It’s easy to imagine locals stopping by for a hot coffee and a familiar plate, the kind of meals that settle in your heart as much as your appetite. The friendly attention from staff creates a relaxed rhythm, where prompt, genuine service feels like catching up with an old friend rather than a transaction.
Culinary offerings at Blue Angel reflect this thoughtful simplicity — from dishes that slip seamlessly between breakfast and lunch, to satisfying sandwiches and hearty dinners that carry a quiet nod to traditional recipes. There’s an honest generosity in the portions, inviting you to linger over a freshly brewed cup or a flavorful meal without hurry. Fresh ingredients and straightforward flavors come together in plates that avoid pretense, focusing instead on the comfort of well-made food enjoyed in good company.
This is the kind of diner where the little details — crispy onion rings, eggs cooked just so, a hearty open turkey dinner — quietly reveal themselves as familiar favorites, all while being served in a space that feels cared for and thoughtfully maintained. It’s a spot that rewards both regular visits and occasional stops, drawing people in with its unassuming character and steady consistency.
Blue Angel isn’t about flash or spectacle, but rather about the simple joy of gathering and sharing meals in a place that feels like a soft spot on your daily route. It’s perfect for those who appreciate the warmth of a neighborhood diner that hasn’t rushed to change with the times, choosing instead to offer a steady, welcoming presence.

Excellent meal! My egg white omelette was cooked to perfection. Very cute, cozy location. Our waiter was very friendly and fast. Rye toast with butter was delicious! Coffee was a little weak. I would definitely go back! Most important, it was extremely clean!!!

Just a lovely family owned dinner type restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is very good food. They are reasonably priced and they keep the place very clean. Staff was prompt with service and very friendly. Best prices around and good size servings. I recommend you try it. You will go back again.

Needed a bit to eat and it was early, had. A meeting to set up for and I picked this spot. It was super small but the food was delicious. Customer service is so welcoming. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Nostalgic & reminiscent of a bygone era where families gathered at dinners. The food was excellent. It's not greasy & not overly seasoned. It's a quiet corner, and you'd have to look for it to know it's there. In the picture are the 2 eggs cooked anyway with corned beef and potato hash; deluxe cheeseburger with onion rings. Delicious and will add it to my go-to places for lunch.

Visited for lunch while in town for an event. I had the chicken w/bacon on pita and my friend had the tuna fish salad. We both enjoyed our meals very much. We were impressed with the portion size and quality. Everything was delicious!
